Owning an animal is a bitch. People think it’s fun and sweet but it’s a pain in the ass. You have to put something else before yourself, you have to brave the cold and rain to take your dog out for walks, you have to brave the muck and mud to work with your horses, sub zero temperatures or 100+, with the flu, a migraine or just over worked, you HAVE to take care of your animal. There is NO good excuse not to. NONE. ZILCH. ZERO. Owning and CARING for an animal is rewarding but NOT because your animal loves you but because you put in the effort and hard work to CARE FOR THEM THROUGH EVERYTHING.
1. Animals are not people. They “love” you but they appreciate you taking care of them CORRECTLY more. Animals cannot reason, they don’t understand time, they don’t care about your excuses, they don’t know your intentions are good if you “forget” or “run out of time” so don’t let your animal down, MAKE THE TIME, take care of them the way they deserve and if you can’t, SHAPE THE FUCK UP or find it a new owner who doesn’t just “love” the animal but cares for them too.
2. If your dog, cat, horse, bird whatever does something wrong 9 times out of 10 it’s YOUR fault. Dog’s don’t shit on the floor for no reason, horses don’t bite for no reason, cats don’t claw for no reason EXCEPT when the reason is not being taught otherwise or not having a choice. Don’t wanna clean up messes then make sure you take them out to potty, make sure you get all their energy out so they don’t feel compelled to destroy things and MAKE SURE YOU TRAIN THEM, SPEND THE FUCKING TIME.
3. Your excuses don’t matter. When you choose to take responsibility over another life, your excuses do. not. matter. EVER. I don’t care if your tired, I don’t care if your sick, if you have something that cannot care for itself, a baby or a pet, you SUCK IT UP and take care of it. This means WALKING YOUR DOG, this means picking your horses feet out when your back feels like death, this means spending enough time every day reinforcing good behavior to not have to worry about bad behavior.
Can’t care for your animal but still want to keep them? Hire a dog walker, a trainer, a rider, enroll in classes so YOU can get yourself involved with an instructor, take ownership not just pictures.
This has been a rant. It’s directed at everybody and nobody. It’s based on a series of observations that make me want to tear my hair out. If you’re offended, if you’re worried this is about you, I don’t care, I don’t want to hear about it.
If you feel singled out by this post YOURE DOING SOMETHING WRONG.
Many breeders claim to breed “teacup” puppies, when in reality there is no such thing…the puppies that these assholes breed are sickly, underweight, and often times premature babies that are sold to feed the ignorance of possible buyers. Does anyone have any info on this video? I can’t understand Portuguese.
All I can do is hope that this lady gets brought to justice for this.
Just Warning again: Violence towards animals!
This is… absolutely horrendous. Oh man, my hands are shaking. How could a woman…AN ADULT do such a thing… and in front of a 3 year old child?!
I can’t say much since I don’t understand Portuguese but, judging from what I’ve seen in this video, the person who filmed this is just as bad as the lady abusing the dog. Did they even attempt to notify the authority in an attempt to prevent this poor Yorkie from suffering any more? I don’t know… I really don’t want to judge anybody here but I’m finding it pretty difficult to resist doing so at the moment.
I also would appreciate it if someone could provide us with a bit of context

PHOENIX - Pet stores at malls may soon be replaced by pet adoption centers. Westcor may be planning to make the transition company wide, in all of its 90 stores across America. They own many in Arizona and have already swapped traditional pet stores with adoption centers run by the Humane Society at two Valley malls. Company officials will only say they are working on the details. The deal would reportedly let leases run out on the pet stores and the adoption centers would move in rent free. Animal rights groups are rejoicing. Many of them protest traditional pet stores at malls on a weekly basis, claiming the animals there are often neglected, mistreated, and come from puppy mills. “We are very, very happy” said Jan McClellan who protests pet stores at Valley malls every weekend for the past few years. “It’s good for business and will save many lives.” http://www.abc15.com//dpp/news/region_phoenix_metro/central_phoenix/adoption-centers-to-replace-pet-stores-at-malls
In Gulfport, Mississippi the same city where Melmo was viciously killed by a cop in March, another chained dog has been shot.
Monday, December 12th police offers were serving a search warrant. Spook was chained in the adjacent yard when he was brutally shot by a police offer who ignored the pleas of a three year old little girl to spare her dogs life. The family was not allowed to seek immediate medical attention for Spook. Two hours later the Police took Spook to a veterinarian of their choice where they had Spook put down without consulting the owner.
Comment by Spook’s owner
kimberlaya5400 1. This sweet pooch was loved by the neighbors. 2. The end of the leash is about three car lengths from the front door. 3. Technically, the leash was tied to a tree in my mother’s yard, next door, and it is more in the side of the yard rather than the front. (refutes sudden lunging) 4. When the officer pulled out the gun, my children, who were right there, begged him not to shoot. (refutes unexpected or surprise attack) 5. They had a search warrant for “cocaine and drug legers” and after searching for hours, found no such thing. Also, because they had a search warrant, they watched my house for a long time, knowing full well he was no threat. 6. When shot, Spook was bleeding, and they refused to let us help him or take him to a vet. 7. two hours after shooting, they took him to a vet in Long Beach. The vet said that he did not have the skill or equipment to try to save him. 8. without consulting with me, GPPD authorized putting to sleep. 9. GPPD took Spook from the vet, and did not return him to me. 10. I feel lost without my baby boy. I feel violated and unprotected How can we get justice for Spook and how can we insure that our pets are safe from the police who are suppose to protect and serve us?http://thelastmeow.blogspot.com/2011/12/police-officer-shoots-chained-dog-while.html
T’was the night before Christmas and all thru the house Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse. Our stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there. The children were nestled all snug in their beds …
THEY ARE A LIFETIME COMMITMENT! It pains me to see people make these sorts of decisions so light-heartedly
My parents speak decent English, though my dad speaks better than my mom. For a long time, my sister-in-laws would tell my mom to speak English, even if what she wanted to say contained words she didn’t know, instead of letting her tell me and translate for her.
Because, you know, whenever you speak a foreign language, all you’re doing is talking shit about the people who can’t understand you, apparently, because that is exactly the vibe I always got. Thankfully, they understand now (finally) but it took an awful long, stressful time.
ugh, YES! My mum understands English but has trouble speaking it at times, but that’s not exactly an issue within the family seeing as we all can speak Spanish. The issue is with other people, especially my neighbour’s sister. She has…Xenophobic tendencies and you’d quite often see her rolling her eyes and whatnot when conversing with my mother. I’ve also heard her belittle my other (ethnic) neighbours and talk at my mum in a patronizing manner.
Mum has also noticed this, and it clearly frustrates her, although I suppose she’s too polite to confront her about it. So yeah, I’m not sure whether or not I should, you know, for my mum’s sake.
In the area I live in, disputes between neighbours can get pretty messy and I’m sure nobody at home wants to deal with that if things do get out of control =/ I doubt they are like that (we definitely aren’t), but I’ve never confronted them about anything so I don’t really know how they’d react to it.
I don’t know what to do or if I should even bother to be honest…
Old story, but stuff like this gets me every time...
Naked attacker had mouse up his bum in South Carolina
POLICE said they tried everything to control a nude man after he attacked them inside a home.
Oconee County deputies said they used pepper spray, a Taser and a baton to try and control Noah Smith, 31, after he slapped, kicked and tried to bite them at a home in Bernwood Circle in Seneca, South Carolina.
Investigators said Smith allegedly broke into the home and threw items around.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they said they found Smith naked and under the influence of drugs.
They say his head had to be covered with a blanket to prevent him from biting officers and had to be hog-tied, shackled and tied to a stretcher when paramedics arrived.
WCSC says paramedics took Smith to the hospital where medical professionals found a mouse tail hanging out of his anus. An X-ray showed an entire mouse in his rectum.
According to the incident report, Smith told doctors he did not know what happened, and he did not remember any confrontation with deputies.
Smith was charged with resisting arrest, assault, burglary and indecent exposure.
