A veterinarian I once worked with sent me several pictures along with a short explanation for each, and I gotta say, some of them are pretty bad (gory).
Here is an X-ray of an old, stray dachshund who was attacked by a rottweiler (BDLDLDL). Apparently the couple who found it wanted to ‘put it out…
I’m curious :)
Owning an animal is a bitch. People think it’s fun and sweet but it’s a pain in the ass. You have to put something else before yourself, you have to brave the cold and rain to take your dog out for walks, you have to brave the muck and mud to work with your horses, sub zero temperatures or 100+, with the flu, a migraine or just over worked, you HAVE to take care of your animal. There is NO good excuse not to. NONE. ZILCH. ZERO. Owning and CARING for an animal is rewarding but NOT because your animal loves you but because you put in the effort and hard work to CARE FOR THEM THROUGH EVERYTHING.
1. Animals are not people. They “love” you but they appreciate you taking care of them CORRECTLY more. Animals cannot reason, they don’t understand time, they don’t care about your excuses, they don’t know your intentions are good if you “forget” or “run out of time” so don’t let your animal down, MAKE THE TIME, take care of them the way they deserve and if you can’t, SHAPE THE FUCK UP or find it a new owner who doesn’t just “love” the animal but cares for them too.
2. If your dog, cat, horse, bird whatever does something wrong 9 times out of 10 it’s YOUR fault. Dog’s don’t shit on the floor for no reason, horses don’t bite for no reason, cats don’t claw for no reason EXCEPT when the reason is not being taught otherwise or not having a choice. Don’t wanna clean up messes then make sure you take them out to potty, make sure you get all their energy out so they don’t feel compelled to destroy things and MAKE SURE YOU TRAIN THEM, SPEND THE FUCKING TIME.
3. Your excuses don’t matter. When you choose to take responsibility over another life, your excuses do. not. matter. EVER. I don’t care if your tired, I don’t care if your sick, if you have something that cannot care for itself, a baby or a pet, you SUCK IT UP and take care of it. This means WALKING YOUR DOG, this means picking your horses feet out when your back feels like death, this means spending enough time every day reinforcing good behavior to not have to worry about bad behavior.
Can’t care for your animal but still want to keep them? Hire a dog walker, a trainer, a rider, enroll in classes so YOU can get yourself involved with an instructor, take ownership not just pictures.
This has been a rant. It’s directed at everybody and nobody. It’s based on a series of observations that make me want to tear my hair out. If you’re offended, if you’re worried this is about you, I don’t care, I don’t want to hear about it.
If you feel singled out by this post YOURE DOING SOMETHING WRONG.
Many breeders claim to breed “teacup” puppies, when in reality there is no such thing…the puppies that these assholes breed are sickly, underweight, and often times premature babies that are sold to feed the ignorance of possible buyers. Does anyone have any info on this video? I can’t understand Portuguese.
All I can do is hope that this lady gets brought to justice for this.
Just Warning again: Violence towards animals!
This is… absolutely horrendous. Oh man, my hands are shaking. How could a woman…AN ADULT do such a thing… and in front of a 3 year old child?!
I can’t say much since I don’t understand Portuguese but, judging from what I’ve seen in this video, the person who filmed this is just as bad as the lady abusing the dog. Did they even attempt to notify the authority in an attempt to prevent this poor Yorkie from suffering any more? I don’t know… I really don’t want to judge anybody here but I’m finding it pretty difficult to resist doing so at the moment.
I also would appreciate it if someone could provide us with a bit of context
