dear-photograph: Dear Photograph, As I stand here taking this photograph, I remember holding you for one last time, one year ago today. You were so happy, but so sick and I will never forget hearing my heart break when the vet said you wouldn’t make it through the week. We still have your brother and he looks for you everyday. Our new dog fills the physical hole you left, but could never understand the void that still looms in our house and hearts. We all miss you Martin, and I hope we can one day just accept it for what it is when it’s time for a family member to go. Love, Brittney
