ok so I fucking loved this episode even though it was filler because it made it obvious how horribly awkward and dumb Azula is when it comes to people skills. Villains are so often suave motherfuckers who everyone wants to bang but Azula is just awful at human interaction and it’s my favorite

remember when we were all excited for legend of korra because finally we get to see a female avatar in action and atla gave us such high hopes for how amazing the show could be
and then instead we got a storyline that mostly consisted around a pointless love triangle
remember

I love that Aang’s favorite fighting style is nooooooope.

Whoa, WHOA, I just saw someone use this as a reaction gif and IT MADE ME REALIZE that Korra is aIRBENDING IN THE FIRST EPISODE. For only a second. That is not a natural jump. That is a subtle airbending jump that Aang would do sometimes. She was able to airbend after passing her firebending exam because KORRA IS MOTIVATED BY SUCCESS AND BY SELF-ACTUALIZING SHE LOST HERSELF IN THE MOMENT AND MANAGED TO AIRBEND FOR A FRACTION OF A SECOND. She didn’t even notice she did it because she wasn’t consciously trying. Then she consciously tries for the rest of the season and can’t muster a single puff of air. But she did it. Right here. In the pilot.

this was the best filler episode of all time.
This was the greatest nudge of the fourth wall of all time.

‘it is a kids show’ Bryke mutters as they write out a scene where the reformed bloodbender and his terrorist brother die in a suicidal explosion

this looks so cool!!!!!!!!!!

Avatar fans are just running all the “Toph is blind” jokes into the ground
but then again i guess that’s the only way she’ll be able to see them

Sokka channelling his inner Kataang shipper.
